HEALTH :
Quand Valentine cuisine pledges to :
- Offer consumers healthy products which are free from additives, colouring, GMO, and non-irradiated.
- Incorporate the recommendations made by the Programme National Nutrition Santé (French National Nutrition and Health Programme) :
- Reduce salt content
- Reduce and optimise fat
- Reduce added sugar
- Rigorously filter and test cooking water: bacteriological, physicochemical and contamination tests for nitrates, pesticides, heavy metals and antibiotics.
- Minimise the risk of allergic reactions by using a hypoallergenic approach including specially adapted storage and specific cleaning processes.
- Optimise sterilisation benchmarks in order to preserve taste, minimise the Maillard reaction (food browning linked to the reduction of carbohydrates and amino acids) and preserve Vitamin C.
- Produce our products in a certified environment (we are currently ISO 9001/2000 certified).
- Carefully select our raw ingredients: the safest geographical origins, contaminants testing programme, guaranteed compliance of packaging used on raw ingredients, testing of each delivery (microbiological, sensory and physicochemical analysis).
- Check all the products that we produce ever day. (Tasting is carried out by a Product Validation Committee, which decides if the product is compliant).
- Ensure full product traceability : box, raw ingredients and packaging (finished products are numbered).
- Use organic cleaning products (no exceptions) and test that there are no chemical residues on the production lines before switch-on.
- Control our impact on the environment : reduce water consumption (40% reduction over five years), sort waste, and use a wastewater pre-treatment plant in order limit discharge into the local treatment plant.
EXPERTISE :
Our products are prepared by hand by cooks who pass on their expertise from one generation to the next.
TASTE :
Our Technical Committee selects the tastiest raw ingredients. The sauces are gently cooked in pots with twin steaming casing. Specialised trained teams, under the supervision of the company’s Quality Division, taste all the products we produce in order to check that we have achieved the right balance of flavours.
SIMPLICITY :
Our R&D Division (three staff members managed by a professional cook) work in a laboratory, which is a reduced-size model of the production section.
This is quite simply equipped with the sort of equipment you would find in any good kitchen.
